    Enjoyed our stay here!

    rating20 May 2026

We stayed here for two nights. We had room number 2, which had a canal view. We really enjoyed that a lot! The staff here was incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean, and also quite spacious, which we appreciated. The bed was comfortable, and it was quiet at night. The breakfast buffet was simple, but good. I really like the location of this place, as it was not in the middle of all the crazy, but within 10 minutes of walking we could be at the Rialto Bridge or Saint Marks Square. So, very handy. There’s also a small grocery store within about a seven minute walk.I would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it. Locanda La Corte, Proprietario at Locanda La Corte, responded to this review Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and especially appreciated the canal view from the room. It’s great to know that our team made you feel welcome and well taken care of, and that you found the room comfortable, clean, spacious, and quiet for a relaxing stay. We’re also happy that our location allowed you to enjoy Venice while still offering a peaceful atmosphere away from the busiest areas.Thank you as well for mentioning the breakfast and nearby conveniences. Your recommendation truly means a lot to us.We would be very happy to welcome you back again on your next visit to Venice!Locanda La Corte Staff

    One night in Venice

    rating24 Oct 2025

We spend a night here before heading on to Trieste for a cruise. Wish we had more time here. Locanda La Corte is a beautiful place with a wonderful staff. Everyone was very approachable, helpful and kind. The breakfast was wonderful and again the staff couldn't do enough for you. We wanted to eat at the restaurant for dinner, but it was closed Monday nights. If I were to stay in Venice again, I would come here. Also, the vaporetto (water bus) from the airport cost only $18 euro and stops a very easy 10-minute walk from the hotel and it's one of the first couple stops on the route. You can also hire a private water taxi from the airport, and it brings you directly to the hotel. That will cost you about $160.00. Last but not least, around the corner on the Campo Santi Giovanni e Paolo, there is a restaurant called Cavallo's. They have a great deal a small pizza and an Aperol Spritz (or beer) for 9 euro and it was very good! Lastly, concerning Venice in general. It is beautiful, but it is a maze of alleys with poor signage. It takes time and patience to see. Again, I wish we had more than one day there. But I loved it!

    LOVELY, SLIGHTLY QUIRKY, HOTEL

    rating15 Sept 2025

As an older couple experiencing Venice for the first time, we loved this hotel. It is a ten-minute walk from the main San Marco ferry stop from the airport (definitely the best way to get to Venice from the airport) and a ten-minute walk from the Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal, which makes it pretty central. The hotel only has twelve rooms and is built around a very pretty courtyard. Entering the hotel from the road you get to the reception, and a little seating area within touching distance of a small canal with gondolas regularly passing! The hotel is run and owned by the wonderful Didier. Didier speaks at least twelve languages so he's likely to speak yours! His sole aim is to make his guests feel at home, welcome and informed. He really couldn't do enough for us during our five-day stay. Our room, number 111 , was reached by a carpeted staircase, which ran beside the courtyard, and was open to the skies, which only added to its charm. The room had a large comfortable bed, impossibly high, beamed, ceiling and a bathroom, which although not modern, was everything we needed. Compared to many hotels in Venice the Locanda La Corte is very reasonably priced and so represents excellent value for money. If you only like ultra-modern, uniform luxury this may not be the hotel for you, but if style, service and individuality are your thing, then you will love this hotel. Breakfast is included and is typical for its type; a buffet of juices, cold meats and cheese, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, bread and pastries and hot bacon, scrambled egg and sausages. Breakfast can be taken inside, in what is the hotel's restaurant, or in the outside courtyard, under the largest patio umbrella we've ever seen. We spent every day taking in the wonders of Venice, and every day we were so pleased to return to our little gem of a hotel. The attached restaurant is so good we ate there twice. Didier made sure everyone felt welcome, and the food and drink were exceptional. Somehow this charming hotel mirrors the rest of Venice, delightful, amazing and different from any other city. We would thoroughly recommend it.

    Absolutely Amazing

    rating30 Aug 2025

I can simply say amazing! The restaurant is one of the best I have eaten at. The owner is hands on and made our stay personal, and over the top. A true master at customer satisfaction. The room was very nice. The shower was a little small, but was fine. I would not hesitate to stay at this wonderful place again. Can’t thank you enough. You made our visit special.

    Do not stay

No hot water for days. Will not advise you of this until after you check in. Told that it’s hot weather so won’t matter. Hotel old and tired. Go elsewhere.
