    Great location, but poorly maintained hotel

    I stayed at this hotel for two nights while at KL. I was captivated by the location, a train station nearby, lively central market, and a 5 min walk to Merdeka Square. The building looks nice from the outside, but its an old building. I booked a windowless room, which was a mistake on my part as no sunlight goes into the room. Due to the humidity of the city, it gets into your room and becomes unbearable when you first enter it. Good thing I had an AC but I had to leave it on, all the time.First day I noticed that the safe did not work. I notified the reception and was told will be fixed the next day. It was fixed as promised but later noticed that my water kettle does not work either. It seems that nobody does maintenance or check the appliances after someone checks out as they rely on their room occupants to notify them of these things. on the second day, I came back to my hotel and entered the card into the pocket and the electricity kept flashing for 10 minutes, it seems there was a short-circuit preventing the electricity from powering on. I kept trying again and again until it worked 15 minutes later, that's when I realized I had to leave this hotel. It is very poorly maintained and nothing seems to work. It was a cheap hotel, but I expect things to work. I left the hotel the next day.

    Windowless rooms smell horrible

    I booked a windowless room with my gf for a night. We were very tired from our flight that night. Once in the hotel we had the room which had a strong musty smell that kind of made your eyes water and was a little dirty. My gf got her finger cut from the. Token bidet hose and the receptionist guy had the band aid. He moved us to another same room on the next floor that wasn’t really any better. We were tired and sleepy so we stayed that night. Had it been earlier the day we would have gone to another hotel. I am a little lenient because the receptionist was nice. I’m unsure if the windowless rooms were smelling like that and if the rooms with windows were better.

    Scammers, bad attitude towards customers

    Scammers. Couldn't get on the plane and visit Kualu Lumpur. Described situation them, but they refused to cancel my booking even with a 1-2 night fee, even I sent them request the same day I made reservation. They charged me for 1 week and refused to return the money. Awful, don't trust them and better find another hotel.Bad attitude towards customers. I believe the conditions in the hotel are also very bad.

    This is a kind of budget hotel nearby Pasar Seni and Chinatown of Kuala Lumpur, if you were out most of the time and just need a comfortable bed and shower then this is your choice. The room is small, the bathroom is of glass then if you are not couple it is a bit uncomfortable. The room does not have free drinking water,but a water dispenser is at lobby area,bring your own bottle. The kettle is provided with instant coffeemix but they don’t replenish it and even no housekeeping services during my three days stay. The area during night is a bit dark and a lot of homeless and it is not well litted. Dataran Merdeka is just a block from the hotel. The hotel is between two LRT stations, Pasar Seni LRT and Masjid Jamek LRT. A lot of eating places nearby the hotel. For a short stay and cheap room rates,then this is the choice considering the best location and price.
