Last Minute Holidays

All Inclusive That Still Works at Short Notice

Board basis is the one decision a rushed trip cannot afford to get wrong, because it settles what you spend after you land. Last minute all inclusive holidays hold availability better than room-only, since the hotels running them fill on volume.

• Antalya: Turkey prices in lira against a sterling budget, so the gap between a four and a five-star all inclusive is narrower here than almost anywhere else on the Mediterranean. The Lara strip runs large resorts that release rooms weekly rather than daily. Airport transfers are short, most inside 40 minutes, which matters a great deal on a late-evening arrival.
• Sharm El Sheikh: Naama Bay and the reefs along the Sinai coast put snorkelling straight off the hotel steps, which is unusual at this price. The Red Sea holds around 24°C into November, extending the usable season a long way past the summer months. Flight time is closer to six hours, so it suits a full week rather than a short break.
• Rhodes: All inclusive concentrates along the east coast between Faliraki and Lindos, where the water is calmer and the properties larger. The walled old town is inhabited, free to wander and reachable by local bus, which gives you a rest day that costs nothing. Late rooms appear most often in the big hotels rather than the small family-run ones.
• Fuerteventura: Trade winds keep the beaches comfortable when the mainland is too hot to sit on, and the sand at Corralejo runs several kilometres before it starts to feel busy. Hotels here are newer on average, so all inclusive tends to cover more than the minimum. Wind is the trade-off, and it is a real one if you want still air by the pool.
• Paphos: Resorts sit close together along the coast road, so a late booking still puts you within a short taxi of everywhere worth reaching. The season stretches from April to November, longer than most short-haul alternatives, which keeps stock circulating outside peak. All inclusive here usually covers local spirits rather than soft drinks alone.
