Cheap Family Holidays to Greece

Resort stays give families the simplest route to a relaxed week, with pools, supervised beach areas and restaurants close by.

• Faliraki, Rhodes: Faliraki sits roughly 15 km from Rhodes Town and is a practical base for families who want a sandy beach, a wide choice of resort facilities and easy access to the medieval Old Town by bus. The trade-off is a lively strip that can feel busy in the evenings, so we tend to suggest quieter hotels set back from the main road for younger children. For a cheap family week with plenty to do on the doorstep, it remains one of the most straightforward choices we offer. It is exactly the brief our Rhodes holidays deals are built around.
• Malia, Crete: Malia has a long sandy coastline on the north side of the island and a cluster of family-friendly resorts with pools, kids' clubs and shallow bays that suit younger swimmers. The airport in the island's main city is a manageable drive away, which keeps transfer times reasonable for tired travellers. The town centre can be lively after dark, so we recommend choosing accommodation away from the main strip if you want quieter evenings. It is exactly the brief our Crete holidays deals are built around.
• Agios Nikolaos, Crete: Agios Nikolaos is a small harbour town on the north-east coast of its island, with a calm bay, cafés along the waterfront and resorts that offer family rooms and sheltered beaches. It is a good fit for parents who prefer a gentler pace than the big party resorts, while still having shops and restaurants within walking distance, the same brief our Santorini holidays deals are built around. Expect a slightly higher price than some western resorts, but the value lies in the calm setting and the easy access to swimming.
• Kavos, Corfu: Kavos on the southern tip of its island offers a compact resort with sandy beaches and a range of budget-friendly family hotels, located within a short drive of the quieter coves nearby. The area can be noisy in peak summer, so we steer families with very young children towards apartments on the quieter edges. Its affordability and beach access make it a sensible pick for a cheap week by the sea. It is exactly the brief our Corfu holidays deals are built around.
• Kalamata, Peloponnese: Kalamata is a mainland city in the southern Peloponnese with a long promenade, a sheltered harbour and a more local feel than the islands. Families can combine a sea-facing hotel with day trips to nearby beaches and the ancient sites of Messinia, keeping costs low on accommodation. It is less of a resort destination, so parents should expect fewer dedicated kids' activities, but the value and calm atmosphere are strong draws.
