Holidays to Greece under £300

Island stays can fit a budget if you choose the right island and travel outside the busiest weeks, when ferry and hotel prices rise sharply.

• Naxos: Naxos is the largest island in the Cyclades and has a broader range of guesthouses and apartments than many of its smaller neighbours, which helps keep rates sensible, the same brief our Greece holidays deals are built around. Ferries run from Piraeus, although services are more frequent in summer, so timing your crossing matters for cost. The island has beaches and a relaxed harbour town, making it a strong budget choice for a quieter island break. The trade-off is that you will need to plan transport around the island itself.
• Paros: Paros is less crowded than the headline islands of the Cyclades and has a traditional harbour town at Parikia with a useful stock of mid-priced rooms. Ferries connect it with Piraeus, and the crossing is a sensible way to keep flight costs separate from accommodation, the same kind of practical brief our Greece Luxury Holidays deals are built around. The west-coast beaches are a short drive away and offer good value for a day out. It rewards travellers who value a steady, unfussy island over a high-profile destination.
• Santorini: Santorini is served by direct flights from several UK airports during the summer season, which can keep the transfer element of your budget lower than trips that require connections. The island has dramatic caldera views, black and red volcanic sand beaches, and a good spread of accommodation at different price points. Fira and Oia give you whitewashed villages and sunset viewpoints to explore without paying for an expensive excursion. Its popularity means you should book early for the best rates. • Milos: Milos is a volcanic island with coloured rock formations and beaches, and it is quieter than many neighbouring islands. Ferries link it with Piraeus, though the crossing takes longer than to some of the more central islands. Accommodation tends to be simpler and more affordable, which suits travellers focused on the landscape and the sea. The modest hotel stock means you should reserve well ahead if you want a budget room.
• Zakynthos: Zakynthos has a lively mix of quiet coves and well-known beaches, which gives budget travellers plenty of choice across the island. Direct flights from UK airports keep the journey simple and help the total price stay within reach. The historic town of Zakynthos offers free entertainment through its harbour, churches and waterfront cafes. Zakynthos is an effective island for a budget break when you want both sea and history. Our all-inclusive options make budgeting simpler. It is exactly the brief our Greece All Inclusive Holidays deals are built around.
