Last Minute Holidays to Greece in June

Resort choices in June mix lively beach towns with quieter bays, and last minute availability varies widely between them.

• Kos Town: Kos Town offers a busy harbour setting with sandy beaches, a Castle of the Knights and quick access to a range of hotels along the coast. Its main draw for a June booking is the sheer number of properties, which often means more last minute choice than smaller islands can offer, the same brief our Greece Last Minute Holidays deals are built around. The trade-off is that the town centre can feel busy in the evenings, so we suggest staying slightly out of the centre for a calmer stay. We recommend it for travellers who want variety in rooms and easy day trips.
• Hersonissos: Hersonissos is a long-established resort on the north coast of the island, with a broad beach, a wide choice of hotels and a short transfer from the airport. It suits families and groups who want a lively base with shops and restaurants close to the water. Transfers are brief, which keeps arrival simple after a late booking. Its popularity means rooms can be limited on certain dates, so we check availability closely before confirming. Holidays on this island
• Skala: Skala sits on the south coast of a green Ionian island known for its clear water and quieter pace than the Cyclades. Its sheltered beach and small resorts make it a calm base for swimming and relaxing in June. Fewer large hotels means availability can be tighter, so flexibility on dates helps. We find it works well for couples and those wanting a peaceful, scenic stay.
• Platanias: Platanias lies on a north-west coast roughly a short drive from the old harbour town, with a long pebble and sand beach and a range of tavernas along the seafront. It is a practical choice for travellers who want easy access to both beach life and the Venetian old harbour nearby, the same brief our Greece Beach Holidays deals are built around. Some hotels here sell out early in June, so booking promptly protects your choice. Its balance of local character and convenience makes it a strong option for mixed groups.
• Lassi: Lassi is a small village on the west coast of the island, set among olive groves with short walks down to coves and rocky beaches. It offers quiet accommodation and a slower rhythm than the larger resorts nearby. The trade-off is limited nightlife and a reliance on car hire for longer trips, which we factor into our recommendations. We suggest it for travellers who value calm and a rural setting in June.
