Cheap Solo Holidays to Morocco

Beach resorts are often the simplest and most affordable base for a solo trip, with shared facilities and a relaxed daily rhythm.

• Taghazout Surf Coast: Taghazout is a small fishing village a short drive north of the resort area, known for its surf breaks and laid-back guesthouses that attract independent travellers on a budget. Accommodation here is simple and often cheaper than resort hotels, and the village has a strong community of solo visitors who eat together and join group surf lessons. Transfers by road take around half an hour, so you will need to plan your journeys, the same kind of practical planning our Morocco holidays deals are built around. It is a good choice if you want a social, active holiday without paying for resort extras.
• Agadir Bay: Agadir has a long sandy bay and a promenade that suits solo travellers who want an easy, social base with plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby. Hotels here are generally priced well below the imperial cities, and the resort is served directly by Agadir Al Massira Airport, which keeps transfer times short. The trade-off is that the resort is more modern than historic, so it suits sun-seekers more than culture hunters. We recommend it for solo travellers who value a straightforward beach stay at a sensible price. It is exactly the brief our Morocco Beach Holidays deals are built around.
• Essaouira Harbour Stays: Essaouira is a fortified seaside town where guesthouses and small hotels near the harbour often cost less than comparable stays in the big inland cities. The town is compact enough to explore on foot, and the working harbour and seafood stalls give solo diners an easy way to eat well without a large budget. Winds can be strong, so pack layers. We suggest it for travellers who want a calm coastal base with simple, affordable accommodation.
• Marina Smir Area: Marina Smir sits on the northern Mediterranean coast and offers a quieter, lower-key alternative to the busier Atlantic resorts. Holiday accommodation here tends to be modest, which helps keep solo costs down, and the nearby beaches are good for unhurried days. Public transport is limited, so independent travel relies on taxis or hired cars. It is a sensible option for travellers who want the sea without the crowds.
• Asilah Guesthouses: Asilah is a whitewashed fortified town on the Atlantic coast, with street murals and a compact medina that is easy to explore alone. Guesthouses here are often inexpensive and staffed by owners who are glad to recommend local restaurants and walks. The town is less visited than the imperial cities, so you will find fewer tour groups and a more personal atmosphere. We recommend it for solo travellers who want low costs and a gentle pace.
