Last Minute Family Holidays to Thailand

Our family resorts are chosen for their pools, space and easy access to beaches, so children have room to play while parents can relax nearby.

• Phuket: Phuket is the largest island in Thailand and offers the widest choice of family hotels, with large pools, kids' clubs and beaches within a short drive of most resorts. The trade-off is busier roads and more traffic around the central beach areas, so we usually suggest quieter stretches of the coast for families with younger children. We place families in resorts where the transfer from the airport is manageable after a long flight. For a last minute booking, Phuket gives the most options to choose from. It is exactly the brief our Thailand Family Holidays deals are built around.
• Koh Samui: Koh Samui has a range of family-friendly resorts with beaches and organised activities, and its own airport allows direct flights from the capital. Because the island is compact, resorts are generally easy to reach and families can explore without long journeys each day. The island is more developed than some quieter spots, so it suits families who want resort comfort with plenty of facilities nearby. We recommend it when you want an easy island base with simple onward connections.
• Pattaya: Pattaya sits roughly two hours from the capital by road and has several water parks and attractions suited to children, along with beach areas and hotels that are easy to reach. It works well for families who want entertainment built into the stay rather than only beach time. The town is livelier in the evenings than some family resorts, so we match it to families who are comfortable with that setting. It is a practical choice for a shorter transfer from the capital.
• Khao Lak: Khao Lak has calm, gently shelving beaches and quieter resorts that are well suited to families with young children who need safe, shallow water. Rainforest wildlife is within easy reach on a day trip into the national park that lies just inland, giving older children a memorable outing. The trade-off is that the area is less lively than the big island resorts, with fewer restaurants and nightlife options within walking distance. We suggest it for families who value calm surroundings above a busy social scene.
• Krabi: Krabi is known for dramatic limestone cliffs rising from the sea and for beaches that suit families who enjoy scenery and short boat trips. The resort strip nearby is set up for visitors with restaurants and tours, while Railay can only be reached by longtail boat, which adds a memorable crossing for children. Those boat transfers mean luggage and buggies need planning, so we advise families to pack carefully. Krabi works well for active families who want scenery alongside beach time.
