Last Minute Holidays to Morocco in February

Our resort picks in February focus on places where the coastal climate keeps the days pleasant and where short-notice availability is most reliable.

• Essaouira: Essaouira sits on the Atlantic coast roughly 170 km from the imperial city of the south, making it a practical choice for travellers who want a relaxed seaside base rather than a large beach resort. In February the wind can be lively and the sea cool, so this suits walkers, windsurfers and those who prefer a slower pace to sunbathing. We recommend it for travellers who want a fortified old town and harbour views within easy reach of the town centre. It is exactly the brief our Morocco Beach Holidays deals are built around.
• Marrakech: Marrakech is the most visited of the imperial cities, and its old walled quarter, traditional riads and the Jemaa el-Fnaa square give a strong sense of place even in winter. February temperatures in the city are mild, which makes sightseeing comfortable during the day, though evenings can be cooler than many travellers expect. We suggest it for city-break lovers who want souks, gardens and a choice of accommodation at short notice. It is exactly the brief our Morocco Last Minute Holidays deals are built around.
• Casablanca: Casablanca is Morocco's largest city and main commercial centre, with a modern feel that contrasts with the historic medinas further inland. It is a practical base for travellers who want a city stay with convenient reach to the Atlantic coast and a range of hotels. Its best known landmark, the Hassan II Mosque, can be visited with guided tours outside prayer times, and we recommend it for those who prefer a modern city over a traditional one.
• Fes: Fes is the most historic of the imperial cities, and its old walled quarter is among the largest car-free urban areas in the world. In February the days are cool rather than hot, which suits long walks through the tanneries and craft quarters without the heat of summer. We recommend it for history lovers and craft enthusiasts who want a deep, immersive experience of the old town and are happy to plan around cooler evenings. It is exactly the brief our Morocco Family Holidays deals are built around.
• Agadir: Agadir is a modern beach resort with a long sandy bay and promenade, and it is the main package-holiday base on the Atlantic coast. In February it offers mild sunshine and cooler sea temperatures than summer, so it suits travellers who want resort facilities and a dependable coastal climate. Its airport offers a quick journey from the UK, and we recommend it for families and sun-seekers who value convenience above a traditional old-town experience.
