Romantic Holidays to Greece

Stretches of coastline where smaller hotels, sheltered bays and seafront terraces make the sea feel close and the pace feel relaxed.

• Rhodes Old Town coast: Rhodes combines a medieval walled Old Town, built by the Knights of St John, with resort beaches along its east coast. Faliraki and Ixia are the main sandy areas, and the Old Town is roughly a short drive from the resort stretch, so couples can choose between a quiet boutique base and an evening inside the walls. The trade-off is that the east coast can feel busy in summer, so we steer couples towards a calmer seafront further along the coast. It is exactly the brief our Rhodes holidays deals are built around.
• Corfu Town and the east coast: Corfu has a Venetian fortress in its town and sandy beaches along its east and west coasts, with greenery that feels unusually lush for Greece. Corfu Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the island's ground-floor cafés and terraces make a relaxed setting for dinner. Couples who prefer smaller, adults-friendly hotels will find more of them on the quieter stretches away from the main family beaches. It is exactly the brief our Corfu holidays deals are built around.
• Paros: Paros is a less crowded Cycladic island than the most famous neighbours in the group, with a traditional harbour town at Parikia and beaches on its west coast. Ferries connect the island with the mainland port, and the island offers a calmer rhythm for couples who want whitewashed streets and good seafood without the peak-season crush. Its boutique hotels tend to be smaller, which suits couples who want a more private feel.
• Milos: Milos is a volcanic island in the Cyclades with coloured rock formations and beaches that are quieter than those on some neighbouring islands. Ferries link the island with the mainland, so the journey from the capital takes a full day rather than a short hop. We think it rewards couples who enjoy exploring by car, stopping at coves along the coast and choosing a waterfront room with a sea view.
• Kastellorizo: Kastellorizo is a small island in the Dodecanese, close to the Turkish coast and reached by ferry from the nearby Dodecanese main island. Its colourful harbour is surrounded by few visitors, which gives couples a sense of seclusion that is hard to find on larger islands, the same brief our Greece Luxury Holidays deals are built around. The crossing takes time and services depend on the season, so it suits travellers who value quiet over easy connections and who are happy to plan the journey carefully.
