Adults Only Holidays to Thailand

Thailand's islands give adults only travellers some of the country's most memorable settings, from quiet beaches to boat-access coves.

• Koh Lanta: Koh Lanta is reached by ferry from the mainland port on the western coast of southern Thailand, or from the southern gateway island of the Andaman coast, and it is known for its long beaches and laid-back atmosphere. It is far less developed than the busiest resort islands, so the adults only properties here tend to be small, low-rise and spaced widely along the shore. The crossing and onward transfers add time to the journey, which is worth weighing against the calm you will find on arrival. We regard this island as one of the most relaxing options for couples seeking an unhurried stay, and a true beach holiday. It is exactly the brief our Thailand Beach Holidays deals are built around.
• Koh Yao Noi: Koh Yao Noi is a quiet island set in Phang Nga Bay, between the larger resort islands of the Andaman coast, with scenic villages and gentle beaches. Its accommodation is modest in scale, which suits guests who want seclusion rather than a busy resort strip. Access is by boat and the island has fewer dining and nightlife options, so you should plan on eating in your hotel for many evenings. For a low-key, adults only escape with a strong sense of place, this island is an excellent choice.
• Koh Phangan: Koh Phangan sits just a short ferry crossing from its neighbouring island and is celebrated for its wellness retreats, yoga studios and quieter northern bays. Adults only boutique hotels here focus on spa treatments and retreat-style programmes rather than the late-night party scene of the island's west coast. Ferry schedules must be planned carefully, as crossings can be affected by weather in the wetter months. We would recommend this island to guests who want a mindful, grown-up island stay.
• Koh Tao: Koh Tao is a small island reached by ferry from the neighbouring mainland port and is famous among divers for its clear water and coral reefs. Its accommodation ranges from simple bungalows to smarter adults only resorts above the bays, and the island is compact enough to explore on foot or by scooter. The small size means there are fewer large hotels, so availability is tighter in peak months. For divers and snorkellers seeking a calm adults only base, this island offers a rewarding combination.
• Koh Samet: Koh Samet is a compact island in the Gulf of Thailand, within reach of the capital by road and ferry, and known for its white sand beaches and clear shallows. Adults only accommodation here is often simple and intimate, with a focus on beach dining and sunset views rather than large-scale entertainment. Its proximity to the capital makes it an easy short break, though weekend crowds from the city can be noticeable. We suggest this island for a short, uncomplicated stay with a quiet, romantic tone.
