Romantic Holidays to Thailand

Thailand's quieter coastal stretches reward couples who want small hotels, calm water and a sense of seclusion.

• Khao Lak calm beaches: Khao Lak has calm, gently shelving beaches and a small number of quieter resorts close to Khao Sok National Park, which makes it a strong choice for couples who want seclusion without isolation. The shallow shoreline is ideal for slow swims at sunset, and the resorts here tend to be low-rise and spacious rather than towering blocks. Because the area is less developed than the main southern resorts, evenings are calm and restaurants feel personal. We suit it best to couples who prefer a gentle coast and quiet rooms over nightlife. It is exactly the brief our Cheap Thailand Holidays deals are built around.
• Koh Samui upmarket stays: Koh Samui is the largest island in the Gulf of Thailand and has an airport with direct flights from the capital, which keeps onward travel simple. Its resort strip includes boutique hotels with pools and private terraces that suit couples wanting comfort, and the beaches on the quieter eastern and northern sides feel more secluded. Dining here often includes beachfront restaurants with sunset views, which makes the island a natural choice for a relaxed romantic week. We book the stronger properties and time the transfers so that the arrival is smooth. It is exactly the brief our Thailand Luxury Holidays deals are built around.
• Koh Yao Noi scenic villages: Koh Yao Noi is a quiet island set in Phang Nga Bay between the larger resort islands, with scenic villages, small beaches and views across limestone karst scenery. It attracts visitors who want a low-key stay, and there are few large hotels, so the atmosphere remains intimate after dark. Reaching the island takes a boat connection, which adds a little effort but keeps crowds low. It suits couples who are happy to trade nightlife for privacy and peaceful water views.
• Krabi coast limestone bays: Krabi is known for dramatic limestone cliffs rising straight out of the sea, and its coastline offers a mix of quiet bays and small boutique resorts within reach of Ao Nang. Couples can combine a relaxed beach day with an afternoon boat trip to nearby bays, returning in time for a sunset dinner with a view. The coast is busy near the main town, so we often recommend a more secluded resort slightly out of the centre. It is a strong option for those who want scenery and activity without losing romance.
• Phuket quieter western shore: The largest island in the southern Andaman region has a wide choice of beach hotels, but its western shore offers quieter stretches than the busy resort strips. Couples who want privacy can choose a boutique property set back from the sand, with a pool and views towards the Andaman Sea. The island's international airport makes it easy to reach, and we arrange transfers that take you directly to the hotel without stopovers. It works well for couples who want variety within a single base. It is exactly the brief our Thailand Family Holidays deals are built around.
