Holidays from Manchester to Canary Islands

Our Manchester departures are built around the routes and airports that suit a relaxed start to the trip.

• Tenerife South Airport: Tenerife South Airport, known by its code TFS, sits on the southern coast and is the most convenient arrival point for travellers heading to the resorts of the south-west. Transfers from TFS to the south-west coast are typically shorter than the journey from the north of the island, which saves time after a flight. We find this route a practical choice for holidaymakers who want beach access and resort facilities close to the arrival airport.
• Gran Canaria Airport: Gran Canaria Airport, code LPA, lies to the east of the island and connects by road to the capital and to the southern dune coast. The drive from the airport to the southern dunes is a longer transfer than from the south of Tenerife, so we factor that into planning for families and couples travelling with luggage. It remains a strong option for those who want urban beaches and a major port city near their accommodation. It is exactly the brief our Gran Canaria holidays deals are built around.
• Lanzarote Airport: Lanzarote Airport, code ACE, is a short drive from the island's eastern capital and gives quick access to the island's volcanic landscapes. From here it is a realistic transfer to the southern coast, which takes a comfortable amount of time on the island's main roads. Travellers who prefer a smaller airport with easy onward connections often find Lanzarote the least hectic route in the archipelago. It is exactly the brief our Lanzarote holidays deals are built around.
• Fuerteventura Airport: Fuerteventura Airport, code FUE, sits to the south of the island and the transfer north is a longer drive across open terrain. Because of that distance, we suggest booking a transfer in advance for peak periods, especially for families with prams and large cases. The trade-off is well worth it for guests who want sand dunes and wide beaches on the northern coast. It is exactly the brief our Fuerteventura holidays deals are built around.
• Tenerife North Airport: Tenerife North Airport, code TFN, serves the north of the island and is the natural gateway to the historic resort town on the northern coast. Arriving here avoids the longer journey across Tenerife to the south, which suits guests wanting a calmer north coast base. The airport is smaller and quieter than the southern hub, so the trip from arrival to hotel is generally simple.
