Last Minute Holidays to Canary Islands

Our most requested resort areas offer the widest choice of hotels, restaurants and beaches when you are booking at short notice.

• Costa Adeje: Costa Adeje in the south-west of the island is a strong choice for families, with a wide range of hotels, water parks and beaches close together. Many properties sit within a short walk of the sand, and the resort is a few kilometres from the airport, which keeps transfer times manageable. The trade-off is that it can feel busy during peak weeks, so we recommend looking at slightly quieter streets further along the coast. Overall it offers reliable, varied value for last minute bookings. It is exactly the brief our Canary Islands Family Holidays deals are built around.
• Maspalomas: Maspalomas on the south coast of the island pairs long sandy beaches with a relaxed resort feel and a well-known golf course nearby. The resort sits beside a protected dune system that makes for a striking backdrop on evening walks. Hotels here tend to be spread out, so you will rely on taxis or the local bus for some trips. It suits travellers who want space, sunshine and an easygoing pace. It is exactly the brief our Gran Canaria holidays deals are built around.
• Playa Blanca: Playa Blanca in the south of the island is a quiet beach resort with sandy coves and a laid-back waterfront of restaurants. It is also the best starting point for the ferry to the neighbouring island, which makes it useful if you want to split your stay across two islands. Nightlife is limited compared with the larger strips, so it is better suited to couples and those seeking rest. We find it works especially well for travellers who value calm mornings and short drives to the coast. It is exactly the brief our sun-drenched island holiday deals are built around. • Playa de las Americas: Playa de las Americas on the south coast of the island is the most lively resort in the Canaries, with a busy promenade, bars and a strong evening atmosphere. It is close to the South airport, so transfers are quick, and the beach is backed by a wide choice of hotels at different price points. The resort can be noisy late at night, so light sleepers should choose accommodation away from the main strip. It is a good fit for younger travellers and groups wanting energy. • Corralejo: Corralejo sits at the northern tip of the island, a fishing village beside the Corralejo Dunes Natural Park, with long sandy beaches and a strong reputation for water sports. Shallow bays on some stretches of coast suit families, while windier spots attract windsurfers and kitesurfers. The village is compact and walkable, though supermarkets and nightlife are more limited than in the southern resorts. We recommend it for travellers who want dunes, beaches and a relaxed village base. It is exactly the brief our holidays to the Canary Islands deals are built around.
