Holidays from Newcastle to Morocco

Our Newcastle departures focus on getting you to Morocco efficiently, and the transfer from your arrival airport shapes which resort makes the most sense.

• Marrakech: Marrakech is the most common arrival point for travellers flying out of the North East, served by Marrakech Menara Airport, which sits a short drive from the city centre. Taxis are the usual transfer, and we recommend agreeing the fare in advance or insisting on the meter to keep the journey straightforward. The imperial city suits travellers who want souks, riads and a lively evening square, and the transfer is one of the simplest in the country. It is exactly the brief our Morocco holidays deals are built around.
• Agadir: Agadir is served by Agadir Al Massira Airport, and it is the natural choice for travellers who want to step off the plane and straight onto a beach. The resort sits on a long sandy bay with a promenade, and the airport transfer is typically a short run to the hotel zone. Agadir trades the dense medina atmosphere of the inland cities for reliable sunshine and resort facilities.
• Fes: Fes is reached by air through the wider Moroccan network, and from there the rail links to the economic capital on the Atlantic and the northern coast make it easy to connect onwards. Fes el-Bali is one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world, which means the final stretch into the old town is typically on foot or by local transport. It rewards travellers who want the deepest medina experience and a strong sense of traditional craftsmanship.
• Casablanca: Casablanca is Morocco's largest city and main commercial hub, and its position makes it a practical base for travellers who want to use the rail network to reach other cities. The city is where you will find the Hassan II Mosque on the Atlantic coast, which stands among the largest mosques in the world and is open to visitors with guided tours outside prayer times. It is a useful gateway rather than a classic beach or medina stay, so we suggest it for travellers building a multi-city route, the same brief our Morocco Last Minute Holidays deals are built around.
• Tangier: Tangier sits close to the Strait of Gibraltar and is the closest point on the African mainland to Europe, which makes it a short-hop option for travellers who prefer a shorter onward journey. The Tangier Med port has ferry links to Spain, and rail connections serve the wider country. Tangier suits travellers who want a northern gateway with a different character from the southern resorts.
