All Inclusive Family Holidays to Canary Islands

Large resort complexes in the south-west of Tenerife are where most families begin their search for an all inclusive stay.

• Costa Adeje: Costa Adeje is a resort area in the south-west of the Canary Islands' largest island, with a wide choice of family hotels, water parks and a range of beaches. Its main trade-off is that the resorts are large and busy, so families who want quiet mornings should choose a hotel set slightly back from the main promenade. We recommend it for families who want attractions close at hand and a full programme of children's activities. Value-led deals of this kind are a natural fit for families seeking variety. It is exactly the brief our holiday deals to the Canaries are built around. It is exactly the brief our holidays on the island's south-west coast are built around. • Playa de las Américas: Playa de las Américas has a livelier resort atmosphere with evening entertainment and a dense mix of restaurants. Families should be aware that the nightlife can carry into the early evening, so a hotel at the quieter end of the resort often makes for a better night's sleep. We think it works well for families with older children who want things to do after dark.
• Maspalomas: Maspalomas offers beach holidays with a relaxed resort feel, close to protected dunes and a golf course for parents. The resort is more spread out than many of the island's compact complexes, so a car or regular transfers are useful for day trips. It suits families who prefer long sandy beaches and a gentler pace than the busiest south coast resorts, the same brief our Canary Islands Adults Only Holidays deals are built around. Holidays on this Canary island here reward those who value space.
• Playa Blanca: Playa Blanca in the south of the island is a quiet beach resort with easy access to the ferry across to the neighbouring island from the northern town nearby. Its main drawback is a smaller range of nightlife and fewer large family complexes than on the busier resorts, so the choice of hotels is narrower, which is the same brief our Canary Islands Last Minute Holidays deals are built around. It is a good base for families who want calm beaches and a manageable resort size. Holidays from this base suit a slower pace.
• Corralejo: Corralejo is a fishing village near long sandy beaches and the dunes, and it suits families who enjoy outdoor time and gentle water activities. The village is compact and walkable, but resort hotels can be a short taxi ride from the centre. We recommend it for families who want wide beaches and a relaxed village feel rather than a large entertainment programme, the same brief our Canary Islands Luxury Holidays deals are built around. Holidays on this Canary island favour beach time above everything else.
