All Inclusive Holidays to Morocco in January

These resorts suit travellers who want their meals, drinks and facilities covered from the moment they arrive.

• Agadir: Agadir is the main package-holiday resort on the Atlantic coast, built around a long sandy bay and a promenade lined with hotels. It is served by Agadir Al Massira Airport, which keeps transfer times short compared with inland destinations. The resort offers reliable sunshine in January, although the sea is cooler than in summer, so the pool and indoor areas matter more. We recommend it for a relaxed, self-contained stay where everything is close together, and it is a popular choice for Morocco All Inclusive Holidays.
• Essaouira: Essaouira is a fortified seaside town with a UNESCO-listed medina and windy beaches that attract windsurfers in winter. Its resorts are smaller and calmer than those in the big southern complexes, which suits guests who want a slower pace. The town sits a few hours by road from the imperial cities, so the transfer takes a little longer than minutes. We suggest it for travellers who value quiet evenings and a coastal setting over a large resort complex.
• Marina Smir: This coastal spot lies just a short drive from the historic northern city, offering a different shoreline from the Atlantic resorts further south. Its resort options are more limited than the big southern complexes, so it works best for guests who want a marina-based base with easy access to northern Morocco. We recommend checking the transfer time carefully before booking.
• Marrakech: Marrakech combines an all inclusive resort stay with easy access to the medina, Jemaa el-Fnaa square and the Majorelle Garden. The city's airport serves it well, and taxis are the usual transfer option into the centre. January is cooler here than in summer, and evenings can be chilly, so an indoor pool and warm-weather planning help. We suggest it for guests who want a city-break atmosphere with the convenience of a full board package. It is exactly the brief our Cheap Morocco Holidays deals are built around.
• Fes: Fes is the most historic of the imperial cities, home to Fes el-Bali and the Al-Qarawiyyin mosque and university. Winter here is cooler and wetter than on the coast, so it is less suited to a pure beach holiday, which is why it sits apart from the same brief our Morocco Beach Holidays deals are built around. Several hotels offer full board packages, and the city is well connected by rail to the economic capital on the Atlantic coast and to the northern port of Morocco's Mediterranean seaboard. We recommend it for guests who want a deep cultural stay and are happy to trade some sunshine for a more authentic medina experience.
