Holidays from East Midlands to Morocco

Our departures from East Midlands connect to Moroccan airports, and the route you take affects where you can comfortably base yourself.

• Marrakech: Marrakech Menara Airport serves the city, and a taxi transfer into the centre is the usual option for most visitors. We advise agreeing the fare in advance or insisting on the meter, as the journey from the airport is short but the medina streets are difficult to reach by car. Flight times from the UK to this route are around three and a half to four and a half hours depending on departure airport, so it suits a short break that still gives you a full day of sightseeing. Morocco holidays are a good fit for first-time visitors who want the imperial city experience without a long journey.
• Agadir: Agadir Al Massira Airport is the main gateway to the Atlantic resort, so the transfer to your hotel is generally short and straightforward. The resort offers a long sandy bay and a promenade, which makes it a practical choice for families and those who want a relaxed beach base. Because most visitors arrive by air rather than sea, the airport route is the easiest way to reach the coast. Our team confirms departure times and transfer details for your dates when you book.
• Fes: Fes is reached through its own airport, and travellers often combine it with a rail or road journey to other imperial cities. The historic medina of Fes el-Bali is one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world, so a taxi will usually drop you at the edge of the old town rather than at your door. This makes Fes better suited to travellers who are comfortable walking through narrow lanes with luggage in mind. We confirm the transfer arrangements for your chosen dates.
• Casablanca: Casablanca is Morocco's largest city and its main commercial centre, and it is often used as a starting point for journeys to other parts of the country. Trains from the city link up with the capital, with the northern coastal port of the Strait of Gibraltar, and with the famous red-walled city in the south, which gives travellers flexibility to build a multi-city trip. We find Casablanca suits visitors who want to combine a city stay with easy rail connections. Our team confirms how you will reach your hotel from the airport when you book.
• Tangier: Tangier sits near the Strait of Gibraltar and is the closest point on the African mainland to Europe. Travellers can reach it by air and then continue by road or rail to other destinations, which suits those who want a shorter onward journey after landing. The port area has ferry links to Spain, so the city is a useful connection point for travellers combining Morocco with other trips. We confirm your transfer details and onward options when you book.
